After the war, John returns to London and visits the grave of one of his comrades who died in Afghanistan before John was sent home due to his shoulder injury. At the cemetery, he notices the grave stone of one Sherlock Holmes, a man who died at the young age of thirty-four. John leaves a single white carnation on the grave, and a connection is created.

Synop: In the Ramayana, the hero is greeted by the gods with a shower of a thousand blossoms—soft silk petals flying everywhere, wind blowing in his face and whipping his clothes, scent filling the air. A blizzard of flowers.

A Thousand Threads of What Might-Have-Beens -Wordstrings

A beautiful three-part fic that explores the ins and outs of Sherlock and John’s relationship, mainly from Sherlock’s point of view with his outlook on the world, on John, and on the fickle ways of emotions and words.

Synop: When John does finally leave, Sherlock is the last one to be surprised by it. But so much leading up to the event was Good by their eccentric standards, even Immeasurably Good, that the timing does seem wrong. Well, mildly wrong. As wrong as any trivial detail can feel when one’s bones have been removed, for example, or one’s blood drained out of one’s veins. As wrong as bad timing can feel next to:

John isn’t here.

And Sherlock clearly has two options to choose from: either get him back, or die trying.

Warnings: Angst, H/C, possessiveness, descriptive smut, brief death, brief physical violence, depression, contemplation of suicide, drug use (of a sort)

A long fic that takes the reader through the first three episodes of the series, re-writing aspects with SerialKiller!Sherlock and his at first-unwilling accomplice, John Watson.

Synop: Written for a prompt on BBC Sherlock Kink Meme : I’d really like to see some secret!serial-killer!Sherlock, either because he’s finally gotten bored of solving regular crimes, or he’s been doing this all along and framing other people for it.

Extra Dark!Watson would be much appreciated. Maybe he’s just seen so many people killed, and killed himself, that it no longer feels like much to be concerned about.
